HELPING people get away from the daily grind this half-term will be a new face at one of the region's leading attractions.
Chris Harrison has taken over as the resident miller at the Castle Museum, in York, which boasts its own 19th Century watermill, Raindale Mill.
He will be taking visitors back 150 years this week donning period costume at the mill, on the banks of the River Foss.
Mr Harrison, who worked in a real flour mill in Selby 20 years ago, is based at the mill all-year-round and is on hand to show visitors how the grinding mechanism works.
He said: "It's been really successful so far, especially with school parties. Children really enjoy it."
Raindale Mill was originally situated in Raindale Valley, near Pickering. It closed in 1915 and was moved to become part of York Castle Museum in the 1960s.
