YOUNG bookworms in Darlington can trade their old library cards for a new one designed by local artist and illustrator Liz Million.
The new cards, which were launched yesterday, aim to make visiting the libraries in Crown Street, Cockerton and the mobile libraries much more fun.
Existing junior members can swap their cards, although new members will still have the choice between the traditional card and the new type. Yesterday's launch was tied in with the release of the new Pixar film, Finding Nemo, with youngsters encouraged to develop their own poster for the box office hit.
The winners were invited to yesterday's ceremony.
