A COUPLE who are driving from Scotland to Italy to take part in a reunion of cars which featured in a classic film made a stop-off in the region yesterday.
Mike Robertson and Pam Byers spent time at Hartlepool United's ground Victoria Park before continuing on their trip to Turin.
Once in Italy, the couple, who both work in the oil industry in Aberdeen, will take part in an annual reunion of cars featured in the original Michael Caine film, The Italian Job.
They will also take part in a series of events at the Imola racetrack and will drive on the roof of what was the Fiat headquaters.
The couple are taking part in the trip to raise money for the National Children's Home charity.
They have received sponsorship from Aberdeen football club, it's owners IOR Ltd in Aberdeen and DNO which sponsors the club's shirts.
