SUNDERLAND football goalkeeper Mart Poom is passing on his expertise to young players this week.
The Estonian, who became a hero after heading a last-minute equaliser at Derby earlier this season, is taking part in the goalkeeping course at Monkwearmouth School, Sunderland.
It is one of Sunderland football club's junior school courses running during the break.
The courses are aimed at four to 14-year-olds and focus on enjoyment.
Poom said: "The players really enjoy attending the soccer courses.
"I think they are a great way for children to improve their football skills and have fun at the same time.
"It is nice for me to be able to meet youngsters and pass on some of my knowledge to them."
Sunderland recently became the first football club in the region to attain the Football Association Charter Mark for its community soccer courses.
The mark is a general quality award covering areas which include coaching, and health and safety.
Club community development officer Bob Oates said: "Our courses are a great way for both boys and girls to do something different during the holidays.
"Our staff are both qualified and experienced and ensure that the courses are rewarding and enjoyable in a safe and professional environment."
