A CASE involving six Fijian soldiers and five Darlington men charged with using or threatening unlawful violence was committed to crown court yesterday.
The soldiers, Muly Faianta Narova, 18, Radubentovomo Tokai, 20, Paul Bukavesi, 21, Kiniconi Rairakula, 22, Samisoni Tikoinasau Tabua, 23, and Jokatamua Vukiduadua, 25, were based at Catterick Garrison for training at the time of the June 14 incident.
Ian James Ditchburn, 37, of Surtees Street, David Anthony Moscrop, 20 of Birch Avenue, Mark Anthony Jenkinson, 22, of Whitehart Crescent, Stephen Vincent Kavanagh, 22, of Haughton Road, and Peter Thomas Brown, 24 of Riverside Drive, all Darlington, also charged with using or threatening unlawful violence, appeared at Darlington Magistrates' Court yesterday.
All of the men involved will now appear at Durham Crown Court on December 8.
