November 21 marks a new beginning for music in the North-East and North Yorkshire and its many talented artists and bands.
The Northern Echo's music website, Revolution, has teamed up with streetwear store Fourth Chamber and local musician Dan McKewan to present quarterly events.
The gigs will showcase several genres of music featuring some of the best and most promising regional performers. The Darlington Arts Centre will host the first event.
The opening show sees Richmond two-piece Eskimo, Bishop Auckland's Morgan and Amsterdam-based Yorkshireman Dave Relton share the stage.
Revolution editor Sean Leonard said: "The theme for the gig is very acoustic.
"With each one, we aim to highlight a particular style or genre, and this enables us to promote artists and acts that would struggle to gain publicity.
"We are very fortunate in the North in the way that we have a wealth of musicians that are both creative and confident."
The first gig is on Friday, November 21, with doors open at 7.30pm at the Garden Bar, in Darlington Arts Centre. Tickets are £3 at the door. Bands interested in playing are asked to call Sean Leonard on (01325) 505269
