CHANGES are on the way for the kerbside paper collection scheme operating in rural parts of the Hambleton district.
The scheme has been reviewed and will now take place over five days, instead of the original three.
However, the change only affects the 8,500 properties that first began benefiting from the kerbside collection of paper last month.
The collection is carried out by waste management company Yorwaste on behalf of Hambleton District Council.
Yorwaste recycling manager John Miller said: "We wish to express our apologies to any residents who have experienced problems with the scheme, but the changes we have made to the collections will result in an improved level of service."
"We would also like to thank everybody who has taken part in the scheme to date and are pleased to say that the participation rates are already high."
New calendars detailing the collection dates in each area have been sent to householders. Anyone who would like more information about the scheme can call the recycling help-line on (01609) 785450.
