SCIENCE and Innovation Minister, Lord Sainsbury, is visiting the region today.
. His tour will look at how North-East universities are building links with business.
It begins with a breakfast seminar at St James Park, Newcastle, to find more about the transfer of knowledge from higher education to industry.
Lord Sainsbury will also officially open two new facilities on Tyneside - Newcastle University's business outreach venture, the Stephenson Centre along with the Fabrium Centre, a new facility for technology businesses at Silverlink, North Tyneside.
