The second division saw the highest score of the day when Peacocks Pub Co. dominated the game against Canney Hill to run out 14-1 winners.

Peacocks put on an impressive display and it was Michael Bland who led the way notching five goals, the best of the bunch being a superb volley from 25 yards, Max Ripley grabbed two, the first a wonderful solo goal, beating five men before leaving Mike Thompson stranded in the Canney Hill goal, his second being an excellent effort from a free kick. Martin Hogg also scored two, his second being a sublime chip that gave the keeper no chance. Paul Hope scored his first goal of the season, Mark Armstrong, Steven Lambert and Carl Bozeate all found the net, but the goal of the game was scored by substitute Andrew McCormick who hit and unstoppable drive from fully 25 yards which hit the top corner of the visitors net. Canney Hill's consolation goal came from Neil Claney.

Middleton St. George continued their fine form with a convicing 5-1 win against Hole In The Wall, with James Briggs in the MSG goal saving two penalties. Don Hanafin and Mark Evans gave the visitors a 2-0 half time lead and with the second half continuing in the same vein, MSG ran in three more goals from John Sunter, Jamie Longburn, Dave Vickerstaff and Shaun Hoy, with John Hughes find the back of the net for Hole In The Wall.

The Northern Echo picked up three points away to Smurfit, which made it three games undefeated for the Echo after a poor start to the season which saw them pointless after the first three games. John Graham opened the scoring for the Echo midway through the first half when he converted a penalty after Darren Stanley had been brought down. Smurfits' reaction to going one behind was excellent and Liam Coleman equalised before half time. Coleman then put the home side 2-1 into the lead early in the second half with a well taken goal, but the Echo came back again and Stanley equalised with half an hour of the second half gone. The visitors then went from strength to strength and further goals from the two forwards Darren Henderson and Paul Jackson rounded off an excellent team performance.

It was top versus bottom as Copper Beech DCS played hosts to Pepper Draughting Services and the result went with form, and with PDS 6-0 up by the break. Beech improved in the second half but could not stop the league leaders running out 9-0 winners with goals from Mark Brooks and Scott Davison, two each from Mark Finn and Mark Stephenson and a hat trick from Michael Carter, to leave the Beech still searching for their first point of the season.

FRA Mowden won a hard fought game against Berlins, with the visitors having the best of the opening exchanges with Shaw putting them into the lead. This brought Mowden into life and they were soon level when good work from Bestford and a cool finish from Martin Hickmans. Berlins continued to cause the home side problems, who had goalkeeper Ian Potts to thank for keeping the scores level. In the second 45 minutes Mowden were a changed side and quickly took the lead after a vicious strik from Steve Barker, the home side continued to dominate, but could not turn their possession into goals, and ran out 2-1 winners.
