CIU League: Crook Belle Vue recovered from their first darts defeat of the season last week when they travelled to the Victoria Club and only dropped one point to clinch the title with an eight points advantage.

Cockton Hill took the runners-up spot when they finished seven points ahead of Ferryhill.

Roy Brown of Ferryhill hit three 180's making his total for the season 18 despite missing two matches. Gary Galloway hit two 180s for Crowtrees whilst there was one each from Tommy Bell of Cockton Hill, Arthur Goldsborough of Willington and Phil Nixon of Ferryhill.

Jeff Sneath of Crook Belle Vue ended the season with a remarkable record of never having lost a singles darts match and only lost one doubles game after playing in every match throughout the season.

Cockton Hill took the dominoes title in style with a whitewash success over Willington. However there will be a play-off for the runners up spot after Chilton beat Crowtrees by the odd point to force the match between them. Crowtrees had wins from Phil Whitfield and Joe Johnston with Chilton going to victory with wins from Dan Harrison, the Individual Player of thee Year, Bobby Allison and Joe Miller.

Ferryhill took the pool title with a nine points advantage over Cockton Hill, who ended two points ahead of Crook Belle Vue.

Willington Ladies League

Ithe darts section Willington Cottles A pulled off the shock of the first half of the season when they travelled to run-a-way leaders, Willington Club B and won by three points. Willington Black Horse A became only the second team this season to win by a maximum, a feat they achieved at Willington Burn Inn.

In the dominoes section defeat for the leaders from Willington Market allowed Willington Burn Inn to pull level following their home win over the Black Horse A.

Auckland Area CIU League

Horndale were able to consolidate their top spot in the darts section with a 4-1 win at Evenwood, but Eldon Lane's whitewash success at Old Shildon allowed them to close the gap to one point. Mick Holmes took the only point for Evenwood, whilst Hordale had wins from Barry Shippen, Sean Musgrave and Lenny Turner to add to their team game. Eldon Lane's winners were William Percival, Kevin Weldon, Brian Coglan and Stephen Weldon to add to the team game.

Old Shildon remain at the top of the dominoes section after they drew with the visiting Eldon Lane when John Collingwood and Alan Bell won for the home side with John Bell and Alan Race equalising for the Lane.

Horndale maintained their top place in both whist and 5s and 3s with 3-1 victories over Evenwood in both. Evenwood's point at whist came from Tommy Agar whilst Darren Yeoman took the 5s and 3s point. For Horndale Jackie Coatsworth, George Mills and John Ripley won at whist with Davy Hodgson, Chris Musgrave and Jeff Bowran winning at 5s and 3s.

Old Shildon whitewashed the visiting Eldon Lane to stay top in the pool section. The home side's winners were Alan Bell junior, Michael Aldworth, Colin Bell and Darren Blood.

Cockton Hill failed to send in their scorecard on time.
