POLICE have issued a description of a man involved in a robbery in Scarborough on Wednesday which left a woman in hospital.
The Superdrug store in Aberdeen Walk was raided at 6.25am when three masked men burst in, punching and kicking the middle-aged shop assistant before tying her up.
One of the men is described as being about 5ft 9in, wearing a black or navy blue hat or ski mask pulled down over his face and a green waterproof jacket, Nike tracksuit bottoms, black trainers and gloves.
He had blond hair with black streaks. There is no description of his two accomplices.
In addition to an amount of money being stolen, phone top-up and Superdrug vouchers were also taken.
The victim was released from Scarborough Hospital after receiving treatment but is described as badly bruised and extremely traumatised.
Police said she was too scared to leave her home.
Superdrug has offered a £5,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of those involved in the raid.
