DENNIS HARRISON is the latest winner to pick up his prize cheque after playing The Northern Echo's Bingo Daily Lucky Numbers competition.

Mr Harrison, of North Lodge Terrace, Darlington, scooped £166.66 in the game after matching the numbers printed on his card with those in the paper.

He shared the jackpot with two other winners.

The 59-year-old said it was the first prize he had won and was over-the-moon about it.

He said: "It'll certainly pay off a few bills."

Editor Peter Barron congratulated Mr Harrison on his winnings as he handed over the cheque yesterday.

Lucky Numbers are published every day in The Northern Echo, alongside the bingo numbers.

Anyone who matches the numbers on their bingo card with those printed can call the freephone number between 9.30am and 10.30am to be in with a chance of winning.

Readers can continue to play the main game for the rest of the week to try to win the full house prize.
