Crook Town cricket club first XI player of the year Allen March received his award at the club's annual presentation evening last weekend. March also got the hat trick and catch of the season awards.
Medallions were presented to all junior and under-15 players, there were vouchers for tea ladies Christine Dunn, Teresa Dunn and Gladys March, and a bottle of champagne for Michael Manvel for his work umpiring the under 15's and juniors. First team scorer Colin Short received a trophy and a watch.
A silver plate was given to Keith Maddison who is retiring after playing for the club for the past twelve seasons. The presentations were made by guest of honour Mike Amos, of The Northern Echo.
Under-15s: Craig Westgarth (most improved player), Lee Formosa (player of the year).
Juniors: Peter Robinson (most improved player), Lee Formosa (player of the year).
Second XI: Chris Guy (player of the year).
First XI: Allen March (player of the year).
Ronnie Tinkler Memorial Trophy (2nd XI performance of the season) joint winners: Simon Dunn and Michael Cooper.
Lloyd Conaway Trophy (1st XI catch of the season): Allen March.
Hat-trick: Allen March (1st XI).
Century maker: Michael Cooper (2nd XI).
