OUT-OF-FAVOUR Hartlepool United defender Paul Arnison has joined Division Three strugglers Carlisle United on a month's loan, writes Paul Fraser.
The 26-year-old has only made two starts for Pool this season despite a string of impressive displays for the reserves. Arnison will join Pool teammate Kevin Henderson at Brunton Park and he goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's trip to Lincoln City.
New Cumbrians chief Paul Simpson is determined to guide his side off the foot of the table and he has earmarked the right-side of defence as a problem. Now Simpson has lined up Arnison for an initial month, with a view to a longer deal if the terms are right for both parties. Mark Robinson, Anthony Williams, Adam Boyd, Jermaine Easter and Jon Bass are now expected to follow Arnison out of the Victoria Park exit door.
