Hole in the Wall 9, Barnard Castle 3

Two goals from Robbie Dodsworth and a Jimmy Gallagher penalty gave Wall a comfortable half-time lead in a well contested match marred only by the sending off of a Barney player following a penalty award. Wall increased their lead shortly after the restart only to be pegged back in spectacular fashion when team manager Stephen Fell who had entered the fray as a substitute turned the clock back 20 years and showed his young charges how it should be done by dispatching a great effort into the top corner from 20 yards. Wall restored their four-goal advantage only for M of the M Joseph Lewandowski to put in Robert Fell to confidently convert. However, Wall were in no mood to surrender the initiative and added a further four goals before Robert Hudson got Barney's third. Barney had been reduced to nine men when Roger Gill suffered a broken leg in a 50-50 challenge. The league wish Roger a speedy and successful recovery from his injury.
