ANOTHER batch of Gurkhas are on their way to join units after successfully completing their basic training at Catterick Garrison.
The recruits began their induction into the British Army in January by learning English, but have since progressed to the basics in a number of trades.
Some will join the Queen's Gurkha Signals, others the Gurkha Chefs and the Gurkha Logistic Regiment.
However, a number will also join the Royal Gurkha Rifles and will go straight into operational training for deployment to Bosnia next month.
A total of 230 recruits passed out at Helles Barracks yesterday, where the salute was taken by Colonel Commandant of the Brigade of Gurkhas, Lieutenant General Philip Trousdell.
