THE drive to build a better future for a North Yorkshire town takes moves a step closer this month when the public are invited to submit their views.
Boroughbridge and District Community Partnership announces the results of a market town health check at an open meeting at the High School on Monday, November 10.
The partnership, formed to introduce projects to improve the quality of life in Boroughbridge, commissioned the study to establish the town's strengths and weaknesses.
"From the results, we have identified ten of the most important issues," said spokesman Chris Shield.
"What we need now is local people to come forward and tell us if they agree with them and, if not, what problems or needs are missing. We can then discuss how we can achieve results by resolving these issues."
The free event starts at 7pm with a buffet. There will also be a chance to browse an exhibition staged by local community organisations.
The meeting will then begin with an update on the partnership current position and its plans for the future. It will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
There is no need to book in advance, although the partnership has asked those attending to notify Mark Hodgson at Harrogate Borough Council's Partnership Development Office on (01423) 556019.
