COUNCIL workers were in the pink yesterday as they marked Halloween in unusual fashion.
Employees at Darlington Borough Council were hoping to raise hundreds of pounds for the Breast Cancer Campaign by wearing pink clothing for the day.
The social services team also sold pink lemonade and home-made cakes to council colleagues.
Meanwhile, their counterparts in the development and environment unit customised their traditional spooky Halloween outfits with pink spray.
Companies across the country were invited to wear something pink to work and donate £2 to show their support for the charity.
