A YOUTH yesterday admitted five motoring-related offences after the vehicle he was driving was involved in a collision with a parked car.
The 16-year-old was driving a Ford Escort along a street in Darlington when he collided with a stationary Vauxhall Nova.
Darlington Youth Court heard that the boy had been drinking with friends prior to the accident.
Chris Bunting, defending, said: "The boy was influenced by others, by friends, and he should have known better."
The teenager was charged with driving without a licence or insurance, failing to stop after an accident, failing to report an accident and driving without due care and attention.
Magistrates also heard that the youth was in breach of a referral order, which was issued by the court for a separate offence on August 22.
The youth was issued a further three months referral to the Youth Offending Panel and ordered to pay £140 compensation to the owner of the Vauxhall Nova.
