POLICE are hoping to trace drivers who may be able to help with an investigation into a three-car accident on the A169 between Pickering and Malton on Saturday.
A silver Rover, a red BMW and a green Volvo were involved in the collision, which happened at about 8.15am, near Howe Bridge.
The teenage driver of the Rover suffered serious injuries and was taken to Scarborough General Hospital for treatment, along with the drivers of the two other cars and a passenger from the Volvo.
Traffic officers are hoping to speak to anyone who may have seen the accident or any of the cars shortly before the collision, which blocked the A169 for several hours.
Witnesses can contact PC Ian Barratt on (01723) 509662
