A TWO-YEAR-OLD boy has died following a collision between two cars.
The boy, who was a passenger in one of the cars, suffered serious head injuries in the accident, which happened on October 25 at 3.30pm, on Allendale Road at the entrance to the Allendale Shopping Centre, in Ormesby, Middlesbrough.
The boy, who will be named today, died on Saturday. His parents had been holding a vigil at the James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, since the accident.
The boy's four-year-old sister was also taken to the hospital suffering from facial injuries but was released the same day.
The incident happened when the Ford Escort in which the boy, his sister and parents were travelling was in collision with a Vauxhall Cavalier.
Two men in the Cavalier ran from the scene but were later arrested by police.
The pair, in their late teens, were bailed pending further investigations
