PEOPLE have until November 13 to give their opinions on a housing scheme, revised after concerns were raised by residents.

Cleveland Housing Aid Trust was asked to amend its application to build 22 two-storey flats at Wheatlands Farm Cottages, Redcar Road, Redcar, by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's planning committee in October.

Residents were concerned that the initial proposal would not blend in with the surrounding area.

The revised scheme is for 20 flats and introduces a gap on the Redcar Road frontage to create two separate blocks.

The trust's general manager, Harold Eddy, has said the trust intends to offer the flats for outright sale or for sale on a shared equity and not for rent. He has also promised the flats will be for people over the age of 45.

Details are available for inspection at Redcar and Cleveland House, Kirkleatham Street, Redcar, or at the council's development department, Belmont House, Rectory Lane, Guisborough.

Responses must be received by the council before November 13.
