THE North-East branch of national design practice P+HS Architects will see more than three years of design work come to fruition this month as Bellway Homes announces the release of the second phase of the Ochre Yard Development in Gateshead.
Lead designers of the largest urban residential scheme outside London, P+HS has applied design solutions to the listed buildings at the Ochre Yard development.
The apartments are part of the conversion of a former pattern-making shop which has been classed as a locally-listed building by Gateshead Council, and was one of the original buildings forming the Greenesfield Railway Works.
This development on Gateshead's riverside is billed as a new concept in urban living.
It will eventually comprise more than 600 city apartments within walking distance of both Newcastle and Gateshead centres.
The site has excellent road and rail access.
