GEORDIE duo Ant and Dec are about to conquer the US after striking a £6m deal with an American television company.
The presenters hope to become American Idols when their hit show Saturday Night Takeaway is launched in the US.
Declan Donnelly, 28, said filming for a pilot show would begin just before Christmas.
But there is no danger of the award winning double act disappearing across the pond altogether because the studio has agreed to bring across an American audience especially for the show.
Dec said: "We have been asked by the Fox Network to do a pilot of Saturday Night Takeaway and we'll be filming that before Christmas.
"I think the plan is to get an American audience in for the show, but we are filming it in the UK.
"Then we are going to see how it goes - whether Fox like it and whether we like it.
"There is nothing firmed up at the moment or any plans for us to move to America."
ITV has already signed them up for another two series of Saturday Night Takeaway in the UK
