WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS defender Lee Naylor last night claimed Danny Mills elbowed him during Saturday's bad-tempered Premiership encounter at the Riverside.
A day after Paul Ince called Mills "an idiot", Middlesbrough right-back Mills was still waiting to discover if the FA would take any action over his behaviour.
But Naylor cranked up the heat on the England international with a scathing attack on the player who goaded him in the aftermath of Gaizka Mendieta's strike.
Naylor said: "Mills was pushing and elbowing all through the game, and when he won the free-kick for the first goal he was climbing all over me.
"Then, after they'd scored Mills came up to me and was winding me up, which one or two of our players weren't happy about.
"His behaviour was out of order but he got away with it."
The FA are also likely to investigate the tunnel bust-up between Boro and Wolves following the final whistle.
Naylor added: "There was some banter in the tunnel and we tried to speak to the referee, but we were told to keep away."
Meanwhile, Boro manager Steve McClaren has revealed he could sign another striker after becoming disillusioned by his forwards' failure to fire the team up the Premiership table.
McClaren said: "It's obviously a big boost to have Massimo Maccarone back, but in January the transfer window provides a window of opportunity for us.
"We strengthened at the same time last season and our results were boosted after that.
"That's something myself and the chairman will be discussing over the next few weeks.
"Competition for places is always healthy - there's no better way to get the best out of people - and we'll certainly try to create competition in January."
