A TOTAL of 350 jobs are on offer at a supermarket.
Morrisons in Hartlepool is to hold a series of open days this week in a recruitment drive.
The supermarket is working with the Jobcentre Plus and Hartlepool Borough Council to employ staff ahead of the store's opening next spring.
Steve Davidson, Tees Valley Jobcentre Plus district manager, said: "This is a tremendous boost for the Hartlepool area.
"We have developed, with our partners, a co-ordinated recruitment package to help with their specific recruitment needs, including a tailored training programme to prepare local residents for the range of jobs on offer.
"Morrisons are keen to hear from people of all ages with little or no experience, and those who may be looking to return to work after bringing up a family."
Diane Latimer, Hartlepool Borough Council's principal economic development officer for employment, said: "The open days are the culmination of more than a year's work to ensure that local people benefit from the job opportunities created by Morrisons' investment in Hartlepool."
The open days will be held tomorrow at Mill House Leisure Centre, Raby Road and between Friday and Sunday at the Belle Vue Sports Centre on Kendal Road.
More details are available at local job centres.
