ACROSS Britain this weekend people will pay homage to those who gave their lives or suffered injury in conflict while serving their country.
Remembrance services will be held all over south Durham.
New Shildon: On Saturday, 10.45am Redworth Road to the cenotaph opposite New Shildon Railway Institute for service at 11am.
The following services are on Sunday:
Bishop Auckland: 9.45am at Market Place for standard bearers display, 9.55am prayer and wreath laying, to St Andrew's Church for 11am service.
Crook: 2.30pm parade from Health Centre, Hope Street, to St Catherine's Church for 3pm service then to cenotaph to lay wreaths at 3.40pm.
Helmington Row: noon for short act of dedication and wreath laying at cenotaph.
Hunwick: 9am St Paul's Church special service.
Middridge: 11.50am from Middridge Village Hall to the cenotaph for noon service.
Shildon: Bus station at 10.45am to the cenotaph for a service and laying of wreaths at 11am.
Spennymoor: 10am Town Hall for united service, 10.45am assemble at front on the town hall to march to cenotaph. Two minutes silence on Festival Walk, 11am.
