YOUNGSTERS from Newton Aycliffe Youth Centre completed a gruelling fell challenge to gain their silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
They journeyed for 30 miles over three days, camping at Holwick and Baldersdale in Teesdale.
There were two groups of four and both prepared a Powerpoint presentation outlining the fun, teamwork, navigational skills and campcraft skills experienced during the challenging weekend.
Group member Claire Weller said that they all hope to go on to do their gold awards next year.
