A Sedgefield girl's design for an anti-litter poster is to be displayed in the village.
Olivia Coates, ten, a pupil at Sedgefield Primary School, won the competition organised by Sedgefield Town Council.
Children from the village's two primary schools were asked to design posters to discouraging people from dropping litter.
A winner was chosen from each school and judges ruled Olivia's effort was best.
The town council will print several copies of the poster to use in its campaign. Olivia, who lives in Sedgefield, and the competition runners-up, were presented with prizes by village mayor Councillor Linda Maddison.
Winners from Hardwick Primary School will be presented with prizes next week.
