FUN-LOVING Century FM radio presenter Paul "Goffy" Gough has told a few crackers in his time.

But it was music to the ears of Teesside shoppers yesterday when he told them how they could win a Christmas hamper.

Goffy launched the Dundas Shopping Centre Christmas Cracker promotion in Middlesbrough by helping Katharine Ray, of Cramlington Close, Hemlington, post the first entry in the free draw.

Every week, a shopper will win a hamper packed with Christmas fayre and a football signed by Century FM's Three Legends.

All they have to do is post a Christmas Cracker entry in the centre's Central Mall - and then hope Goffy pulls out their name.

The promotion coincides with the start of late-night shopping at the Dundas Shopping Centre.

From tomorrow, the centre stays open until 8pm every Thursday, extending to 9pm from the start of December.

Then, from December 15 until Christmas Eve, the centre's shops will stay open until 8pm every weekday.

Spokesman Richard Wilson said: "Everyone at the Dundas Shopping Centre is already filled with the festive spirit. We're determined that this Christmas is going to be the best ever and giving away hampers to shoppers is just the start of the festivities we've got planned."
