THE Wild West comes to north-west Durham next week.
The Lamplight Arts Centre, in Stanley, will be transformed into Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show for South Moor Amateur Operatic Society's production of the musical, Annie Get Your Gun.
It tells the story of sharpshooter Annie Oakley and her romance with Frank Butler, whom she ousts as the star of Buffalo Bill's show.
Lindsay McPhail takes the starring role, with Peter Johnson as Frank Butler, newcomer Nick Goddard as Buffalo Bill and Ernie Wilson as Chief Sitting Bull.
Performances take place from Tuesday until Saturday, November 22, at 7pm.
Tickets are £6 for adults and £4 for concessions and are available from the box office on (01207) 218899.
A block booking concession of one free ticket for every ten is available.
Details can also be found on the society's website, www.smos.derwentside.co.uk
