THE last in a series of roadshows designed to encourage people to adopt a healthier lifestyle drew an encouraging turnout.
About 60 people attended the Your Health roadshow in Shildon this week. It followed similar events in Ferryhill and Newton Aycliffe.
The event included free health and diabetes checks, influenza vaccinations for the over-65s, complementary therapy demonstrations and a gentle exercise display.
Advice and information was available on healthy cooking, medicine management, foot health, home security and fire safety.
One of the aims of the Shildon roadshow was to combine keeping warm, affordable warmth and flu vaccinations.
The roadshow was co-ordinated by Gill MacNab, from the Pioneering Care Partnership, with support from Sedgefield Primary Care Trust and several other agencies.
