Hulk (12) Stars: Eric Bana, Jennifer Connelly, Sam Elliott, Josh Lucas, Nick Nolte
DR Bruce Banner (Bana) is working with his ex-girlfriend and brilliant fellow researcher Betty Ross (Connelly) with cutting edge genetic technology.
During a freak accident in the lab, Bruce is exposed to a massive dose of gamma radiation which should kill him. In fact, his body absorbs the deadly rays, leaving Bruce apparently unscathed, much to Betty's consternation. However, something within the scientist has changed.
Whenever he gets angry, Bruce metamorphoses into an impossibly strong, rampaging creature known as The Hulk. When Betty's father, General ''Thunderbolt'' Ross (Elliott) and rival researcher Glenn Talbot (Lucas) discover that Banner and the Hulk are one and the same, they unleash the might of the US military to destroy the monster.
Director Ang Lee sensibly keeps the Hulk hidden in the shadows for the first hour of the film, but when he is compelled to unleash his behemoth on rush hour San Francisco, the clunkiness of the animation becomes glaringly apparent. The camerawork and editing, however, are never less than dazzling. Also available to buy, £14.99
Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (12 Stars: Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, Demi Moore, Bernie Mac, Luke Wilson, Crispin Glover
FROM its opening minute, the movie is determined to entertain us - to thrill us with its outrageous action set-pieces, tease us with shots of the scantily clad heroines and tickle us with a barrage of visual gags, slapstick and innuendo. Following the theft of a Federal Witness Protection Program database, the crime-fighting triumvirate of Natalie Cook (Diaz), Dylan Sanders (Barrymore) and Alex Munday (Liu) are called back into action. Aided by their agency consort Jimmy Bosley (Mac), the feisty trio follow a trail of evidence which leads them to a 'mysterious' fallen Angel (Moore) and old adversary The Thin Man (Glover). Also available to buy, £12.99
Anger Management (15) Stars: Jack Nicholson, Adam Sandler, Marisa Tomei, Heather Graham, Luis Guzman, Woody Harrelson, John C Reilly, Harry Dean Stanton, John Turturro
DAVE Buznik (Sandler) is a mild-mannered, non-confrontational guy with an irrational fear of public displays of affection. After an airplane altercation spirals out of control and Dave is accused of assaulting an air stewardess, he finds himself in court at the mercy of an iron-fisted judge.
She sentences Dave to intensive anger management sessions run by therapist Dr Buddy Rydell (Nicholson), whose unorthodox approach to his work includes moving in with his subjects until they are cured.
