A NORTH-EAST teenager is due to complete a David Blaine-style stunt this evening.
Chris Williams, 19, has spent a week in the public gaze, on a sofa in the window of The Lounge, in Neville Street, Newcastle.
The business management student took up his position last Friday and by 10pm tonight, he will have notched up 168 hours on the sofa.
He has been provided with food and drink and could have a five minute break every hour, which he saved up for a longer rest.
Chris, a Northumbria University student from Cramlington, Northumberland, said, unlike David Blaine, he has had continuous support from passers-by.
"I never knew how long a week could be, but it's been good fun, although the lack of sleep hasn't."
