A COMMUNITY is taking a trip down memory lane by holding a reunion for former residents.
People who lived in South Church between the 1920s and the 1960s are invited to the event at Cockton Hill Working Men's Club, Bishop Auckland, on Saturday, December 6, from 7pm to 11pm
The village, near Bishop Auckland, was the subject of a regeneration scheme during the 1960s, when many families were forced to move on.
But they have not forgotten their roots and have had two reunions in the past few years.
Former resident John Beaston, who lives in Garthlands, Heighington, is helping to organise the event with sisters Rose and Marlene Daykin and Jimmy Rouel.
