TOURIST PLAN: Parish councillors welcomed a five-year tourism plan for Redcar and Cleveland.
It includes the development of wet weather facilities and refurbishment of tourist attractions, such as Saltburn cliff lift, Smugglers Heritage Centre, Redcar's Coatham enclosure and Guisborough Priory.
BLADE FUTURE: The Skateboard and Blade Steering Group, which has been looking for a site in Saltburn, will meet to consider its future. Joan Guy, a member and the council chairman, said surveys and geological tests had proved unsuccessful. She will propose it is wound up.
BEAT BOBBIES: Five more community police officers are on duty in the parish. Sgt Steve MacFarlane, in Saltburn, PC Andrew Carling, at New Marske, PC Jonathan Hagen, at Marske, and Stuart Smith, at Saltburn. PC Andrew Hodges will also patrol the area.
