AN event next month will allow people to remember their loved ones.
Hartlepool and District Hospice is holding a Light Up a Life event, inviting people to sponsor a Christmas tree light at a dedication service at Hartlepool Historic Quay, on Saturday, December 6, at 6pm.
Tina Holroyd, fundraiser from the hospice, said: "This event is a very special way of remembering or honouring a loved one or as a tribute to the work of the hospice. The name of the person will be recorded in a special book of remembrance which is displayed at the event and at the hospice throughout the New Year.
A commemorative card and pin badge will also be sent to each donor in thanks for their support.
Entry to the event is free. Anyone wanting to add a name in the Book of Remembrance is asked to contact the hospice (01429) 288035 by November 28.
