Coxhoe Boys

A second half great performance from the Under-15s earned Bobby Orton's side a vital victory against the previously unbeaten Sunderland Town Castle Rovers.

At the break Coxhoe were 1-0 down after a dreadful first half in which they lost their shape and looked unable to reverse the scoreline.

However, a swift half-time pep talk and a few tactical changes did the trick as Coxhoe emerged as much the better side for the second half, going on to win convincingly 6-1.

Scorers were Nathan Ward and Daniel Jones while Steven Bunning grabbed a contender for goal of the season with a strike from 40-yards. The other three goals came courtesy of Liam Short, who did well to grab a hat-trick from left-midfield.

Substitute David Taylor had a good game for Coxhoe although praise goes to the entire team for their excellent second half recovery.

The result means Coxhoe are still unbeaten in the League with seven wins from as many games and are still top of the table.
