HAWES and High Abbotside Angling Association held their annual dinner and presentations at the Wensleydale Pantry.
After an excellent meal, the secretary reported that it had been a testing season for fishers because of the low water. However, fish had been in good condition and grayling numbers were rising.
Shields were presented to Jason Holliday (junior) and David Dinsdale (senior). Guests were then entertained with a series of stories by the vice-president and the secretary.
Junior winner Jason Holliday is pictured above with the R A Fawcett memorial shield and senior winner David Dinsdale is pictured (right) receiving the new Sproats Blades memorial shield from president Tony Fawcett.
