Ferryhill Town Youth Under-10s were at home to Bishop Auckland St Mary's C and won 10-0.

A great team effort again saw Ferryhill 5-0 up at half time. Nathan Ball got his first hat-trick while Reece Wooley and Jake Pearson also found the back of the net. The second half was just as dominating, two goals from Tom Olley led the way for Nathan Ball & Reece Wooley to score again with the last goal coming from David Gibson. The man of the match was awarded to Nathan Ball.

Ferryhill Under-11s were at home to Hartlepool juniors at the weekend. Although they gave a good solid performance they couldn't find the back of the net, and were beaten 5-0. Man of the match went to Connor Richardson for some very good defending and excellent attitude.

The Under-12s were at home to Cumby Rovers, Ferryhill led courtesy of a goal by Michael Toas, Cumby Rovers worked very hard and were unlucky not to level the score before half time. In the second half Ferryhill went into a 3-0 lead with a second from Michael Toas and one from Craig Stanworth, shortly after, Cumby Rovers pulled a goal back. Michael Toas scored Ferryhill's fourth to complete his hat-trick, and Jack Harrison scored goal number five. Ferryhill's man of the match went to Michael Toas. Credit to both teams for an enjoyable game, final score Ferryhill Town Youth 5, Cumby Rovers 1.

The Under-13s were at home to Hartlepool Crest at the weekend. In a heated match they were unlucky to be beaten 8-1 but still gave 100 per cent performance, never giving up. Ferryhill's goal was scored by Andrew Walker. Man of the match was awarded to Stephen Hopper for his excellent defending.

The Under-14s played away to Barnard Castle. With Andrew Gibbons opening the scoring for Ferryhill, Jonathan Mason then added a second to make it 2-0 at half time. The half time score did not reflect on the game, which was a hard fought game by both teams. Andrew Gibbons scored a second to make it 3-0 then Barnard Castle score their first to make the score 3-1. Castle scored a second before Wayne Bolton added another. Castle fought back to make it 4-3, and then in the last minutes of the game Barnard Castle scored the equaliser.

Willington Boys

THE Under-15s lost 2-0 away to Birtley Town in the Russell Foster Junior league premier division with Steven Alderson man of the match. Willington played well despite missing several regulars.

The Willington Under-17s were beaten 6-2 by South Shields Wanderers, putting up a good performance with only 11 players available. Both Willington goals were scored by Martin Hopps who shared the man of the match award with teammate Michael Hampson.

Bishop Auckland College

The College played away to Cummins Fencing of Sunderland and they went down in the 20th minute to an own goal.

But College quickly pulled a goal back with a header from Derek Wade after a good cross by Anthony Ebdon.

Then, in the second half, the College really started to play some good football, quickly taking the lead through Simon Quinn and a second soon after making it 3-1 with only five minutes left. Adam Barrett got the College's fourth.

This weekend Bishop are away in the League Cup to Cleadon Juniors of the Premier League, 10.30am kick-off.

Tow Law Juniors

Chester Town were the visitors in the Russell Foster League with the game seeing the Lawyers get back the sparkle which had been missing in their last two matches. Tow Law went ahead after 19 minutes when Dwain Dobson latched on to a ball inside the area and shot into the net.

The lively Chester side fought back to level just before the half hour when Gary Coates scored. However the home side were able to go into half time with a lead after Nicky Martin clipped the visiting goalkeeper, Ian Paile.

On the hour, John Wheatley increased the Lawyers lead with a well taken free kick from twenty yards. Eight minutes later Adam Sullivan capped a good performance for the home side when he further increased the lead.

Chester never gave up trying and were rewarded for their efforts when Jonathan Hewitt pulled a goal back. However victory was sealed for the home side after 81 minutes when Man of the Match, Michael Coulthard collected the ball inside his own half and beat two Chester players before crashing in a goal from twenty-five yards. This victory moves Tow Law back up to second place in the table.

Next Sunday, Tow Law Juniors are away to Washington Dunlop in the League Cup.

Darlington Albion

The Under-13s, sponsored by Digital Communication Systems, astounded hosts Billingham when they arrived with only nine players, and won the league game 8-0. The whole team dug in from the whistle and produced another excellent performance from their depleted side. The team ultimately forgot they were two players down and gave a positive and determined display, shocking Billingham with their total committment. Albion goalscorers were Danny Potts (3), man of the match Theo Farquharson (2), Phillip Caley, Simon Sung and Tom Thurgood.

The Under-15s were away to Yarm in league action. Albion were 2-0 up at one stage, but allowed Yarm to fight back in the second half. In a close game Albion missed too many chances in front of goal to allow Yarm to win the match. Final score was Yarm 4, Albion 3. Albion goalscorers were Sam Richardson (2) and Andrew Wood.

Spraire Lads

For several reasons, Spraire Lads fixtures were thin on the ground this week. Spraire Lads Under-8s, sponsored by Astra Transport, were defeated 5-0 by a strong Cleveland Juniors side but despite the result, heads did not go down, with all team members doing their best. Man of the match for Spraire was Jonathan Dye.

Spraire Lads Under-10s hosted Stockton Town. In a hard fought game, Spraire pushed forward from the off and went close through Kerry Hedley and Wilson Kneeshaw but in the tenth minute and against the run of play Stockton broke clear to score. Spraire stepped up their game and from a resulting corner Matty Bowers was on hand to send an unstoppable shot into the corner of the net from 15 yards to send the teams in level at half-tine. After the break, Spraire pushed forward looking for the winner but had to wait till the last five minutes before Danny Stead popped-up to score the all-important goal to make the final score 2-1 to Spraire. In the friendly afterwards, Spraire won 1-0.

Spraire Lads Under-15 A were narrowly defeated 2-1 by Hartlepool Crest. In an even game Spraire both teams created good chances but in the end, Crest managed to hang on to gain the points, when a draw would have been a fairer reflection on the match. Spraire's scorer was Craig Lavelle and man of the match was Steven Woodley.

Darlington RA

SPonsored by Baydale, Darlington RA entertained Leven Athletic who were one place above them in the league. The RA made a mockery of this statistic by recording their biggest victory to date.

Jack Ridley opened the scoring with two fierce shots that the Leven keeper was unable to hold, Kiel "the bullet" Mellor scored the third, before Ridley and the other half of the deadly duo, Tom Watson completed the first half scoring making it 7-0 at half-time.

The second half started just like the first with Ridley beating the Leven keeper at near post, two more from Watson and a fine individual goal from workhorse Craig Hancock took the tally to 11, before Leven converted a penalty conceded by James Howell, Ridley scored his fifth of the game and man of the match Tom Watson completed the RA scoring with his seventh and the RA's 14th before Leven grabbed their second to finish the match at 14-2.

Darlington Mount Pleasant Rangers

THE Under-13s, sponsored by King, Hope & Co, played at home in the league to St Francis 2000 B. This was a hard fought game throughout and Rangers piled on the pressure, ending in a deserved 3-2 win to Rangers. Rangers scorers were Mikey Smith (2) and Tom Helibron. Rangers man of the match was Stewart Leighton.

The Under-12s, sponsored by Magnet Ltd, played at home in the league against St Francis 2000 B. Rangers failed to get into this game from the start and although they had some chances Rangers failed to capitalise, St Francis winning 5-0. Rangers man of the match was Ben 'BT' Turnbull.

The Under-10s, sponsored by MKM (Darlington), played at home in the league against Barnard Castle. Rangers were the strongest team playing the passing football. Rangers competed for the ball and won a convincingly 5-2 . Rangers scorers were Stephen Richardson (3), Danny Longstaff and Paul Helibron. Rangers man of the match was Paul Helibron.

The Under-9s, sponsored by Dutton Forshaw (Stockton), played away against in the cup against a strong Eldon Lions team. Rangers started this game well, moving the ball with accuracy and confidence. Unfortunately they were beaten 4-0. Rangers man of the match was Karl Hastie.

A friendly that followed saw Rangers win 1-0, the scorer being Sam England and man of the match going to Bradley Richmond.

The Under-8s, sponsored by LEX Transfleet, played away in the cup against Stokesley. Rangers played some good football from the start and looked the stronger team but Stokesley won with a single strike. Man of the match was Joe Williamson.

Richmond Town

Richmond Town Under-8s played their first match away to Barnard Castle. A confident display by the Richmond team saw them run in ten goals without reply. Some excellent finishing by Adam Cocks saw him notch eight of the goals courtesy of some good work by his team mates. Dylan Wardale and Matthew Charlton made up the other scorers. Steven Male, the Richmond Town goalkeeper, made an excellent penalty save to deny Barnard Castle a late consolation goal.

Richmond Under-9s travelled to Northallerton with the hope that they would continue their run of good results. Two matches were played side by side to enable everyone to get a full game and more importantly keep warm on a cold morning. The first team led by Will Henderson came out clear 6-1 winners. Goals came from Sam Witty, Harry Vernon and Lewis Stabler. Northallerton were overawed by the sheer power and pace of the Richmond side. Defender Jack Charlton and goalie Tim Holmes both had good games.
