Fairs Software Tyneside Junior League: Only one game was played at the weekend and Seaham Red Star maintained their 100 per cent record defeating Consett 4-1.
Nicky Martin struck a hat-trick and Daniel Appleby was also on target for Red Star, while Consett's only goal came from Kevin Dixon.
Seaham now share the leadership with Chester-le-Street, who have won six and lost one of their seven fixtures. Seaham therefore have a game in hand on the Cestrians while New Hartley are third top, a point behind the leading pair, but they have played two games more than Chester-le-Street and fulfilled three additional fixtures than New Hartley.
At the bottom Prudhoe are still without a point after eight attempts while Consett are second from the basement, four points better off than Prudhoe and with a match in hand.
Apollo Doors Gateshead Youth League
A hat-trick by Rob McConnell featured in a 5-0 victory for Blackfyne at Ryton, while Bethany Gardner scored twice as South Moor inflicted a 4-0 defeat on Whickham Fellside Y.
Ryan McGill was another player to find the net on two occasions as Low Fell C ran out 4-0 winners against Whickham Fellside G and goals from Ryan Powell (3) and Michael Croogan (2) earned Swalwell a 5-2 win at home to Stocksfield. Mark Longstaff netted twice for Beamish, who defeated Felling, Consett R won 3-2 at Blaydon and there were also victories for Leam Rangers Y against Winlaton and Low Fell M at Redheugh.
In the Under-12 division Jason French scored twice as Cleveland Hall took the points against Leam Rangers, while Beamish and Low Fell scored nine times defeating Blaydon and Felling respectively.
In the Under-13 league cup two goals from Jordan Dyson enabled Whickham Fellside B to defeat Low Fell 3-1 and Dean Martin rifled a hat-trick in a 4-0 victory for Leam Rangers Y at Swalwell.
Thomas Williams scored both the goals for Leam Rangers G in a 2-1 victory at Redheugh, while an only goal was sufficient for Rutherford against Cleveland Hall.
In another close result Chopwell edged Washington 3-2, but goals were more plentiful at Blaydon where Blackfyne won 7-0 with Stephen Turnbull and Andrew Ronaldson both finding the net twice.
One game was played in the Under-13 league and Winlaton collected the points defeating Consett 6-2 when Scott Ruddick rifled a hat-trick and Darren Fowler bagged a brace of goals.
In the Under-14 section a hat-trick from Adam Dixon enabled Redheugh to defeat Low Fell B and Michael Wass scored twice as Consett ended 3-0 in front of Winlaton.
Leam Rangers went to Low Fell C and returned 2-0 victors, while Cleveland Hall put nine goals past South Moor who replied just twice. James Huggin, Chris Stephenson, Dean Foster and Robert Allen all scored twice for Cleveland Hall.
Teams from the Under-15 division were involved in the Charlie Thomas Memorial Trophy. South Moor won 4-1 at Consett when Stephen Burrows netted twice, John Rogers also bagged a brace as Cleadon had the edge on Cleveland by the odd goal in five and in another close contest Leam Rangers ended 3-2 winners over Beamish when Craig Malley was another player to strike twice.

Darlington Albion
The Under-13s, sponsored by Digital Communication Systems, astounded hosts Billingham when they arrived with only nine players, and won the league game 8-0. The whole team dug in from the whistle and produced another excellent performance from their depleted side. Albion scorers were Danny Potts (3), man of the match Theo Farquharson (2), Phillip Caley, Simon Sung and Tom Thurgood.
The Under-15s were away to Yarm in league action. Albion were 2-0 up at one stage, but allowed Yarm to fight back in the second half. In a close game Albion missed too many chances in front of goal to allow Yarm to win the match. Final score was Yarm 4, Albion 3. Albion goalscorers were Sam Richardson (2) and Andrew Wood.
