Durham HQ maintained their lead at the top of the table, with a 6-2 win at Newcastle. The Tyneside team remain bottom but this was only their second league game and were obviously rusty.
The league meeting this week, will see them pick up points for matches where the opposition failed to turn up. HQ dominated the match and scored some good goals through, Paul Bruce (2), Dave Oliver (2), Chris Robinson and Lee Tooke. Richard Hay scored both off Newcastle's goals. Andy Stuart and Karl Muir were the respective top men.
Langbaurgh stay in second spot when their ten men crushed Sedgefield's nine men 13-0. Eight players scored - Henry (4), Tomlinson (3), Endrodi, Malcolm, Robinson, Shaw, Scott and Brown.
Stockton ended their three match losing run with a two goal victory at Frankland. First half goals from Eric Barrett and Chris Green were enough to secure all the points and retain third place.
Tyne and Wear stay in fourth spot when they were able to overcome Easington 4-2 this week. Kev Farrell and Richie Biggs gave the Firemen a two goal lead, but a good 18 yard strike from Paul Footes reduced the deficit before the interval.
Paul Russell restored the two goal advantage, but Easington's top man Dave McKinlay scored to make things interesting.
Russell then struck again to ensure his side's win.
Derwentside and Durham Fire shared six goals and the points at Morrison Busty. Simon Waggott headed the Firemen in front, only for Kevin Maddick to level things within two minutes. Ian Bell then crashed in an unstoppable shot from 25 yards to restore the Fire teams' lead.
Again it was short lived, as Phil Donnelly slotted the ball past the keeper for an equaliser. Maddick then weaved his way through the defence, before finding the bottom corner for 3-2 Derwentside.
Somehow there were no further goals until Dave Bell scored from the tightest of angles with two minutes left of the game.
