Stuart Bowes gave Stanhope Town a first minute lead against Evenwood White Swan.
The visitors came back to 1-1 at half time and went on to lead 4-1 through John Simpson, Neil Teasdale and Kevin Watson (2). Sub Andrew Dinsdale pulled a second back but the Swan could well have had more had Stanhope keeper Stuart O'Dell not been on top form. The win takes Evenwood to the top.
Ian Woodhall scored four as Willington WMC who brought Tow Law Station's good run to an end. Anthony Stewart (3), Wayne Fleming and Andrew Howard were other scorers for Willington in a 9-1 win. Station responded through John Wilson.
Wearhead United went two down at home to Byers Green St Peters but fought back to 2-2 through Kelly Goodfellow and Darren White. Byers Green added a third to inflict another odd goal defeat on Wearhead. David Savage, Chris Pickles and Terry Liddle scored for the winners.
Stanley United led Crook White Swan 3-0 when the match had to be abandoned in failing light after an injury requiring hospital treatment caused a lengthy hold up.
Howden Australian went behind at home to Darlington Emerson Arms in the Durham Minor Cup. The Australian missed a penalty but took a 3-1 lead through Kevin Burke (2) and John Connelly. Emerson Arms came back to 3-3 and then won the match with a golden goal in the second half of extra time.
Dale Jardine and Jamie Walton put Coundon and Leeholme 2-0 up against Bishop Rugby Club. Paul Barker pulled one back but Daniel Wales added a third for Coundon. Ashley Hinds made it 3-2 and Rugby Club then had a penalty saved. Anthony Tait converted a last minute penalty to give Coundon a 4-2 win.
Roddymoor went a goal down at Sunderland Silksworth Oaks. Alan Hawkey equalised but the home side added a second.
West Auckland Queens Head had a 3-1 win at Heighington in the Darlington Charity Cup with goals from Darren Wilson, Wayne Dobinson and John Dawson.
