A PSYCHOLOGIST and a lawyer have set up a nanny-finding bureau to help working parents.
Sarah Skilbeck established Nanny Solution with the help of the Prince's Trust and a business mentor provided by the organisation, lawyer Karen Simms.
Mrs Skilbeck, 27, who has a degree in psychology from Durham University and is a former assistant psychologist with Newcastle Health Trust, said: "A lot of nurseries don't cater for mums who, like me, work long hours.
"When my son James was born, I was never able to find an organisation capable of responding to that need and that's why I have created, with the help of the Prince's Trust, Nanny Solution to provide a much more flexible approach to the needs of working parents like myself."
Mrs Skilbeck, from Cleadon, near South Shields, has a database of nannies registered with her company.
They have been vetted and police-checked and she matches each child-carer to a family's needs.
Karen Simms is a partner in the Newcastle law firm Sinton and Co, and last year won The Prince's Trust's Mentor of the Year Award.
She said: "As a new mother myself, I can identify very closely with the problems faced by young working mothers and the real need that exists for the kind of service Sarah is providing."
The company's website is www.nannysolution.co.uk.
