A TOWN will celebrate its heritage entertainment with an exhibition this week.
The History of Entertainment in Bishop Auckland will be the last exhibition at the Discovery Centre, in the County Durham town, this year.
It will run from Thursday to Saturday, December 20, and feature everything from the Eden Theatre to the Jefferson family and comic Stan Laurel.
The exhibition was compiled and researched by Tony Hillman and Mavis Dixon.
Mr Hillman will give a talk at the centre on Friday, December 5, at 7pm, about the film history of the North-East. There is a booking fee of £2 per person for the event.
Opening hours at the Discovery Centre are Thursday to Friday, between 11am and 4pm. For more details, or to book places for the talk, call (01388) 662666.
