THE curtain will go up on an ambitious attempt to revive amateur pantomime later this month .
The 25-member Music Makers, in Wolsingham, Weardale, are hoping some of the magic they have brought to the stage over the past 12 years will rub off on their production of Aladdin.
Although they have staged musicals, it is the group's first attempt at presenting a pantomime.
Featured in the cast for the show are retired farmer John Anderson and his wife, Marjory, both in their early 70s.
The Music Makers are staging Aladdin at the Methodist Church Hall, Wolsingham, on Friday and Saturday, at 7pm on both nights, and at Stanhope Church Hall the following Friday and Saturday. Tickets are available on (01388) 527361 or from the cast.
