PEOPLE in Ferryhill have told the town council what projects they would like carried out in the town.
A total of 243 residents returned questionnaires sent out with the first edition of the council newsletter. The results will be presented to council members on Wednesday.
On the issue of possible additions to Dean Bank Park, a skateboarding area was favoured by 43 per cent. Most respondents wanted the existing park features to be retained, but more than eight out of ten said the lavatories should be improved.
The development of a football academy was approved by 82 per cent, confirming the results of the Ferryhill appraisal. Anti-social behaviour is considered more of a problem by adults, but young people were more concerned about dog fouling.
The questionnaires were entered into a prize draw. Leanne Henderson won a television, James Farley a £20 voucher and Louisa Featonby a £10 voucher.
