Young dancers and singers in the North-East have a second chance to become the next Billy Elliot.
Auditions are being held in Newcastle to find a star to play the role of the ballet-dancing miner's son in Billy Elliot the Musical.
They are on Sunday at The Sage Academy of Performing Arts, Potts Street, Byker, Newcastle.
The musical is expected to premiere in Newcastle next autumn before going onto the West End. Three boys will be needed to share the role of Billy. Producers are looking for a further three to play his best friend Michael.
Hopefuls must be aged between 11 and 14, and are asked to take along a photograph of themselves on the day.
