PUBLIC-SPIRITED people in Hartlepool are being urged to prove just how much they care for their town.
Hartlepool Borough Council officers are looking to recruit a resident representative for the North Neighbourhood Consultative Forum.
An election is to take place at 9.30am on Wednesday before a meeting, which begins at 10am, in West View Community Centre.
There are three forums, covering the north, centre and south of the town, which meet every eight weeks and give local people a chance to raise issues of concern affecting their neighbourhoods.
Each is made up of a number of councillors and resident representatives.
Residents living in the north of the town are being invited to nominate either themselves or someone else for election to the vacant post.
Nominations can be made on the day of the election. However, people who are unable to attend the vote but want to nominate either themselves or someone else must do so before 5pm on Tuesday.
Nomination papers are available from the council's corporate services officer, Christine Armstrong, on (01429) 523016.
