A FORMER Scoutmaster faces jail after he was found guilty of 19 charges of making indecent photos of children.
Kelvin Marshall, who used to be a Scout and Cub Scout leader, also had more than 1,000 Internet files of children when police raided his home in Eaglescliffe, near Stockton.
The raid took place while he was on holiday with his wife and five-year-old daughter.
Teesside Crown Court heard that Cleveland Police carried out the raid after information from the FBI checking on subscribers to a child sex website.
Marshall, 33, said during his week-long trial that he could not recall using the website but police had his Visa card records to prove it.
Marshall claimed his pornographic CDs were bought from a man in a pub in Darlington, at car boot sales and some loaned by a workmate.
He denied he was interested in child sex or bestiality but some of these images were hidden on Internet files used for his Scout and Cub activities.
Marshall, of no fixed address but formerly of Meadowfield Drive, Eaglescliffe, was found guilty yesterday of 19 out of 20 charges of making indecent photographs of children between December 1997 and September last year.
Judge Tony Lancaster remanded him on bail for pre-sentence reports, and ordered him to register as a sex offender.
